roller coaster ride

Movie screens flickering with images Bouncing of my eyes Day dreams flowing full speed
Speculations growing like stalagmites In a cave that is never explored by anyone but myself

Washing The LinensA white sheetWashing The Linens
Billowing in the breeze Held to a wire line
With wooden clothes pins That hurt when you clip them on your chin
Washboards put to their task On a riverside bay Under the shade of the oak tree Feet dangling in the cool stream Liquid ice flowing through your toes As the rhythmic pattern is scrubbed against the washboard
Arms dark from the sun
Reaching up Bringing the fresh sheets up to the wire line Clipping them with wood pins
That hurt when you clip them on your chin
